If the power button doesn’t work, which is a part of the Macbook Air, Macbook Pro keyboard and some PC's. It would be a common problem of liquid spill as the keyboard is the first part of the laptop susceptible to liquid damage during a spill. Most keyboard issues are caused from debris, food particles, high humidity or liquid damage. If a spill on most occasions the liquid travels through the keyboard onto the computer's motherboard possibly shorting out the board if powered on on contact. The damage to the keyboard will begin to be noticed withing two days of the spill if from a sticky substance such as coffee, soda, juice or wine as the keys will become sticky or making a crunchy sound when pressed. If water was spilled vs sticky substance than the damage may appear withing three days to one month. The motherboard will become corroded and could even be carbonized if multiple attempts failed and you continue to power on the unit. It is best not to power on a computer with liquid damage as it can short circuit or damage your entire board. If a device gets wet, you should immediately turn off power, unplug it, and take out the battery. Disassemble the system and carefully dry it with paper towel, cloth and a blow dryer. Keyboard's also stop working because there may be food particles underneath them. In some instances we can replace a few keys but if more than two keys are bad is recommended to replace the entire keyboard as more keys will continue to fail overtime. Do it right.

For starters, we had purchased a top of the line HP Envy notebook from Best Buy. Had it a year and began having the BLUE SCREEN OF DEATH! Things just got progressively worse, did all we could do... Then finally decided to get it fixed. We live in rural Texas, and as there is none near that we trust to do repairs the search began, and we found out about Complete Computer Repair, and we are so glad we did! After speaking with Ernesto, we sent the notebook to him to repair, and after he checked it out, replaced the BIOS, and did all sorts of diagnostics, it turned out the motherboard was bad, but not repairable. Ernesto was very upfront, open and honest throughout the entire process. He replaced the board, reinstalled Windows 10 & Office Suite, for a VERY reasonable labor fee, plus the cost of the board.
