Effect: Conductive when wet, Sugar + acid combo = aggressive corrosion, Alcohol evaporates, but leaves everything else behind 👉 More corrosive than coffee over time and causes delayed failures (works today, dies later)

🧃 4) Juice / soda (the worst of the group) = Water + high sugar + acids + additives

Effect: Highly conductive when wet, Extremely sticky residue,, Sugar traps moisture → corrosion keeps going 👉 This is the most damaging long-term, Even if the device turns back on, problems often come later.

Apple has recently recalled a lot of MacBooks for warranty service. Your MacBook may be eligible for free replacement of its battery, keyboard, logic board, display backlight, or another component.

Macs eligible for Exchange and Repair Extension Programs - Service Repair Price List

Apple offers a complete list of recalls for macbooks, which the company calls “Exchange and Repair Extension Programs,” on its website. Check whether your Mac’s model name appears in this list:

  • MacBook Air (Retina, 13-inch, 2018) – Apple hasn’t listed this one on its website. However, “a very small number” of these systems have “an issue” with their logic board and are eligible for free replacement.

  • MacBook Pro (Retina, 15-inch, Mid 2015) – Some of these MacBooks are eligible for a battery replacement. The battery may overheat. Check the MacBook’s serial number to see if it’s eligible. If you have an eligible Mac, Apple advises you to stop using it immediately for fire safety reasons.

  • MacBook Pro (13-inch, 2017, Two Thunderbolt 3 ports) – Some of these MacBooks sold with 128 GB of 256 GB solid-state drives “have an issue that may result in data loss and failure of the drive.” Check your MacBook’s serial number with Apple to see if it’s affected.

  • MacBook Pro (13-­inch, 2016, Four Thunderbolt & Two Thunderbolt 3 Ports) – Some of these MacBooks have an issue with their display backlight. The backlight may stop working entirely, or you may see “vertical bright areas along the entire bottom of the screen.” Here’s what to do if you have this problem.

  • MacBook Pro (13-inch) Without Touch Bar – The battery on some of these macbooks may expand due to component failure. Apple says this isn’t a safety issue, but will replace the battery free of charge of your device is eligible. Here’s how to check your MacBook’s serial number. Note that this doesn’t affect MacBook Pros with touch bars.

Diagnostic Testing Complete diagnostic and testing to provide an in-depth computer health report and estimated life expectancy and additional services. $40
Macbook Hardware Repair If you need to add a new hard drive, RAM, replace keyboard or DVD drive, it typically costs $60+ per device. $60
Software Installation Assistance with Software and OS X installations, If you are having trouble installing software or operating system. $99
Laptop Rental We offer a laptop rental service for when your computer is being repair. Typically, this costs a small fee of around $50. $50
Mobile Repair When a computer technician comes to you there is no extra charge, is part of our service free pickup and delivery. $0
Data Recovery We can recover and save any lost data including documents and pictures even if your computer wont turn on. This can get expensive depending on the state of the machine but prices start at $100. $100+
Wireless Network Installation A computer repair technitian will securely install your wireless network for use on all your devices. $100+
Mac Tuneup When your computer is running slow, most of the time you just need diagnostic testing and a tune up. $75
Virus Removal When your computer has adware, malware, virus, worm, or trojan, a local technician can remove them all without the need of losing any of your data (most of the time). $99
Operating System Installs If you need a fresh start, we reccomend a new installation of your opertating system to make things run smooth again. We'll backup and restore your documents, pictures, music, videos after the installation and in most cases Apps and settings as well. OS Installations and upgrades for Catalina, Mojave, Sierra, El Capitan, Yosemity, Snow Leopard Windows 10, Windows 7, Windows Vista and Windows XP. $100
